That’s what we do. We are the 18,000 plus members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 79, also known as the City of Toronto Inside Workers. Our mandate covers a lot of the city services you know well, plus the Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) and Bridgepoint Hospital.

We look after people and take care of business, but mostly, we try to make sure you have a great day in the city you live, work and play in. We are the child care workers, lifeguards, instructors, nurses, cleaners, ambulance dispatchers, planners and clerks and many more who make the City of Toronto work every day.
